Do drops get assigned over the whole party regardless of where the members are? E.g. when some members are 'greyed out' in the party bar because they're far away, do they still have the chance to be assigned a drop? (the active party, not the greyed out members kill the monsters)

If the above is false, then in the case that you kill something solo while in a party, but they're out of range would you get all the drops?

I hope my queries make sense.

Yes, it makes sense....if the party members are grey out then only those that are visible will get the drops from the mob...

thats why people farm with hero's they take a build for the boss....use hero's to get to the boss...call targets...kill everything....send hero's out of screen till greyed out then kill boss.....then you would get the drops...

although all party members get a share of any gold coins....no matter if they are greyed out or not... the above also works on the Killroy Jenkins quest in SF ....fight to the chest....clear area...send hero's away....open chest...all drops for you...zone out...repeat...tis where all the purple crystalines and dwarven axes come from
